Pacific Northwest Snow Event

So we are awaiting the first big snow event of the year here on the Rock (Vashon Island). Looking forward to several days of hushed surroundings with a white blanket, spotting deer, raccoon, owl, and all kinds of tracks left from visits.
Should be wonderful.

This is what I do
Upon awakening currents of
Crows cawing with Pileated Woodpeckers
drum drum drunmming away on the old dead stag across the road in the gully
the same old dead stag where the unnamed hawk carried it's salmon lunch one day
leaving me wondering where it will go later.
Things reduced to this...what they do, so too I
must do,
It Is
and in the not worrying of the It of the Is I can find release
and be present
and maybe I too can catch a salmon lunch.
